The Jesianity creed:
1. Jesus is the son of God.
2. Those that learn, understand and live his way, his Gospel, live in God's Kingdom. Only those.
More than ever before with things that I have been studying and learning these recent weeks, including considerable scholarship on the gospels, everyone, everyone that I know of, everyone that I respect in history with an affection for jesus, has missed the point. It doesn't matter whether he is the Son of God or not. It doesn't matter whether his instructions are factually correct, accurate, a reflection of the truth. It doesn't matter. It is not a historical issue.
What matters is if he showed and instructed the optimal way of being, the most joyful belief system for living in this world which we have turned into a hell world. And it was a hell world objectively at his time.
I am an atheist. I will always be an atheist. And I believe in jesus' example and teachings with all of my strength, intellect, soul, heart, will. For the joyful life of it. And my now joyful abundant life is a proof of that to me. Everything else is distraction.
